Well, after resisting joining chat rooms and blog-ins and so on for so long - (on account of witnessing the amount of time some people spend in front of the screen) - I am now myself, posting a blog. I don't even like the sound of the word blog, and yet I'm sure it will grow on me.
I'm happy to participate in the Learning 2.0 program and by the end of the program, I will surprise and dazzle my teenage children in the domain they've been born into.
I helped some older patrons access their daughters blogs (as she was travelling overseas) and their faces lit up to see her photos and read her messages.
I have only 1 close friend left who does not have a computer, said he will never have a computer, but is asking all sorts of leading questions that make me think that he is entertaining the thought of owning a computer and internet access. We're all in the web!

I too was a reluctant and hesitatant about the whole blogging thing but I think you are right we need to be out there communicating with our patrons the way they want to commuinicate with us. Welcome! It is fun.
