Week 5 -wikis

That was a lotta fun!
I looked at Wookieepedia (which didn't interest me at all); Book lovers wiki (which had me jotting down a few tips for a good read. I would have liked more than one review per book, but am grateful that those people took the time to review.); and my favourite- the full library success: A best practices wiki- that opens with an alert about vandalism problems and the need to confirm email addresses. An interesting look at in-house sorta stuff for librarians and their professional development.

I just couldn't work out how to use colour or font style when I edited an entry on the 2.0 wiki.
The entry that followed mine was started really close to my entry and name, so it looks like they're connected. Tried to edit line spaces between the 2 entries but didn't seem to work.

Week 4 - rss

It was great to have "permission" to sit for a while and look up sites of interest. I'm always looking for anything new in handling a rare genetic condition one of my sons has. No-one except myself has posted on the yahoo group relating to that condition for ages so this could be good.

As well as a bloglines feed for songwriting competitions I selected an email alert so we'll see how overwhelmed my mailbox gets.

A few of the pages I opened in the top 10 hits were errors or not available-guess that happens.

This could possibly save a lot of time if you're searching the same subject often. I'll need to wait a while and then draw a conclusion.

Second Blog

Howdy folks,
Well I think I've finally cracked it!
This posting the photo actually took me ages I must admit, but having seen the process through it now seems so simple....
I chose this photo for it's simple beauty and the illusion of space when in fact this is such an amazingly crowded city-Varanasi.
I have travelled in most of India excluding Varanasi and Calcutta and regret I ran out of steam as I may never get the chance to return.
